Here are some basic shots of my “yard,” my home,

and some of my "neighbors" down here in Crossville.

My mailing address is in Crossville, which sits between Nashville and Knoxville, but I live about 15 minutes west of town in a rural area.

Off of Interstate 40, it's exit 311 (Plateau Rd). I live just a mile east of the tiny town of Mayland.

This is where I live. That's my house, more

than 700 feet back from the road (Hwy 70N).

It sits on an 11-acre plot owned by my

sister and brother-in-law. The house faces

north, so this shot is looking roughly south.

We call this the front

meadow because it's

out front, next to the

road. Beyond the hill

that you see climbing

up to the right behind

the mailboxes, is the

pond.

The pond separates the front meadow from the section of meadow which lies out in front of my house. My house sits in a bend of the woods that run along the east side of the meadow and behind me. My sister and brother-in-law's home is further back in the woods, as you can see from the satellite view.
