Plateau Discovery Gardens

The administration building looks like a single-floor private home, but that is only the top floor. Around back which in down a slope, where it abuts a parking area, you see that it is a large three-floor building built into the hillside. It contains offices, meeting rooms and lecture halls, drinking fountains and public restrooms.

The reason it is called Discovery Gardens—the plural—is because the grounds are divided into numerous individual garden plots. Some have specific seasonal themes; some with associated plant types; many created by each year's class that has attended instruction at the center. It is widely diverse and very interesting, as well as being colorful.
